Born and raised in Oklahoma, Stephen and his wife, Kathy, live in the Historical community of Keenan, which is located on the family ranch.

Stephen spent 30 years in the commercial art field as an illustrator and graphics designer and for 10 of those years as a successful fashion designer.  All the while honing his ability as a sculptor with the influence of Hollis Williford and Edward Fraughton who gave Jones encouragement, guidance, and support.

Now a full time sculptor, Jones is mostly self taught with the honor of studying under great artist such as Mehl Lawson, Randal Dutra, Sandy Scott, John Coleman, Paul Moore and Gerald Balciar to further his skills.  Being a working ranch cowboy and Cheyenne heritage has added to his in depth knowledge of today’s American West.

Stephen’s work resides in private collections across America and Canada.
Jones says “I love what I do and the subjects I study and create, and I want my work to expose this.”
